Background of Resto Shaman Haste

Resto Shamans or the Shaman class in general is probably the class that can almost do anything but then doesn’t really specialize in any of the skills in the World of Warcraft game. That fact being said is the reason why there is really no only way or method in playing the Shaman class. There can be many different variations as to what role you should in your group or what skill and talent tree that you should build your character on. But surprising enough, regardless of the several builds that are done this class, Shamans prove to be a valuable player and tough enough to go head to head against the other classes in World of Warcraft. The important thing about playing the Shaman Class is that you know what you want to do and what style of playing you are comfortable with.

If you are fond of going into raids or if you are a leader of raids, the Shaman class is known for their powerful healing ability. This kind of skill is what Resto Shamans are known for. Restoration of health is one of the main skills needed during raids especially when your group is against formidable monsters in the dungeons.  The Healing Rain probably is the most useful shaman healing skill in this case as it can restore the health of everyone within the AoE, so that’s at least five or more players can benefit on this one skill alone. Another good healing skill that you can is the Chain Heal, which is also another signature heal buff that a resto shaman can cast. But the downside of both of these healing spells is that, it may not be as effective if your other teammates are spread across the map. You might just end up throwing away mana and not be able to heal anyone. In this case you might want to just use a single heal effect on the player who may have the most damage.

In the previous versions of World of Warcraft, the popular tank healer used is the paladin class. Well now, even though this class is still good at doing it, they are no longer the only ones who can do it well. Thanks to the Ancestral Healing and Earth Shield skills, resto shamans can now also cast effective tank healing effects. Today, the most effective tank healing spell that is found in the game is Greater Healing Wave, which can be casted by a Shaman.

Aside from the healing effects, another good shaman builds is to become a mana replenisher for your team. Shamans can do this through the use of the Mana Tide, where you can restore the spirit of your fellow raiders so they can use their skills and power up the other healers in your group. The empty mana bar is considered as one of the most stressful situation during raids and it can be a big hassle just to replenish it on your own from to time especially when you want to take out your opponent. This is why having someone around to restore it for you is very crucial.

So there you have it, I hope you were able to get a good glimpse of what are the possible things that you can do as a resto shaman. Over the next few weeks I will be posting some more information regarding this class together with some resto shaman guide. We will talk about the Resto Shaman Haste and other strategies that can help you in your game.
